Meet Mr. Miquel King
YOUR PERSONAL CHEF
Born on August 15, 1991 to Michael McDowell and Mavia King in St. Louis, Missouri; they have 11 children. My father was taken from our home and placed in the prison system, and this greatly affected my life: high school drop out, joined a gang, street life ruled me with fast money, hitting licks, smoking weed, popping pills, carrying guns, etc. I had been shot, stabbed, and nearly beaten to death. It wasn't until I had my first child was born that I awakened and started getting my life together. I got my G.E.D., attended culinary school, and I've been cooking ever since! Culinary has opened many doors for me and saved my life - I am presently under the tutelage of Rise Above The Ordinary with Chef K. My ultimate goal is to become a restauranteur, a celebrity chef, and a mentor to men with similar backgrounds as mine.
